Calvino Resonse essay

In both The Aquatic uncle , and The Dinosaurs , Q is torn between to worlds.

In the story The Dinosaur , Q is the last one of his kind on the planet. So over time he stayed in the mountains. One day Q had decided to come down but he as secret about it. One day when Q is getting something to drink he sees a "new one". So he sneaks up behind her. So as one might do hen they have not seen a creature like that before they would ask questions. In the text it said "if i anted to save myself, i should tear her from limb from limb at once."(98) What this quote shows is Q's natural Dinosaur insect but he anted to fit in with the new world so he had decided he should not tear her from limb to limb.

It seems like  feels like the "new ones" are on to him. As if they think he really is a Dinosaur. In the book "The Dinosaur Q says Not that i never became completely use to the idea: i alays felt like a dinosaur in the midst of enemies, and every evening , hen they stared telling stories of the dinosaur , i hung back in the shadows , my nerves on edge. What this quote shows is Q is not sure if they found out if he as a dinosaur. I f they were to find out about Q would they accept him for who he is. What should Q do? Should he try to fit in with the "new ones" or go back to being a dinosaur.

Even thought Q is the last dinosaur left on Earth i think he is not to up set ith that. Q really wants to fit in but i think him becoming more like the "new ones" will not solve his problem of wanting to fit in. In the text Q says "they all have something i know , that made then some ho superior to me , sublime , something that made me , compared to them , mediocre. and yet i would not trades places ith any of them".(82) What this quote shows is yes Q ants to fit in but no matter what he would always feel like they were better then him.

Response to Swag.

Swag is something that many people are not born with. You have to (as the definition said) "Swag up" . By doing this you are having your own unique style , or you are confident in the style you already have. Confidence is a HUGE piece of having swag.

Well i will first like to ask where do you get these definitions from? Do you just make them up? Is there even a true definition of "swag"? Would you say that you have "swag"?

You say that swag is having your own unique style. Last i checked most people including you don't make up your style you just copy it from someone else. So because you don't have your own unique style that must mean that you don't have swag either. Yes you did also say that confidence is a huge piece of having swag. I do for the most part agree this  statement. The reason i think swag can be important is only because it has to do with someones confidence. If you do not even have self confidence in your self then way bother. This is a big problem in my mind because hat happens if someone says you don't have swag  will that affect some ones confidence.

Another question i have is if every one is not born with Swag does that also mean that they don't have confidence in them self? I feel like the way you make swag seem is not a real positive thing but instead a negative thing. So when you say you have swag can that even be looked upon as a good thing? So my last question is if you have swag Keiland is it such a wonderful thing as you try to make it seem.

NFL week #3

All ready in the third week on the NFL regular season and its a good one. With a huge shock to the Dallas 0-2 start and the Minnesota Vikings also with a 0-2 start it just adds excitement to Sunday. There are some big surprises in the first two weeks such as the Kansas City 2-0 start and even the Tampa Bay Bucks with a 2-0 start. This is looking like its going to shape up into the weirdest NFL season in a long time.

Some of the games that will be played on Sunday in week three are Atlanta @ New Orleans, Buffalo @ New England, Cincinnati @ Carolina , Dallas @ Houston , Detroit @Minnesota , Pittsburgh @ Tampa Bay , San Francisco @ Kansas City , Tennessee @ NY Giants , Indianapolis @ Denver , Oakland @ Arizona , Philadelphia @ Jacksonville , San Diego @ Seattle , Washington @ St. Louis , NY Jets @ Miami  and on Monday Night Green Bay @ Chicago.

All of these games are going to be great games. I think that New Orleans will take care of Atlanta and keep going on there 2-0 record. Another really big game is going to be Dallas and the Houston game because if the Dallas Cowboys lose another game there hopes of going to the Super bowl is very little. One of the Bay area teams also have a huge game against Kansas City. The 49ers have lose both of there games and if they lose another i don't know if the will even make the playoffs.

My favorite team in the NFL is the Oakland Raiders. So i am really hoping that they play a strong game and come out with there second game against the Arizona Cardinals. That would be a huge win for the Raiders to have the chance to go 2-1.

My little brother

I have a younger brother who plays pop wanner football. His name is Richard David Hamilton but every one calls him David. He is elven years old and is in the fifth grade at Ruby Bridges school. He has been playing football for two years now and is getting really good at it. The position he played his first year was running back and Conner back. Now in his second year he is playing Conner back. He loves the position of Conner back because he says he want to be the person to pick the ball off and run it back for the winning touchdown.

Davids first year playing football he was rally nervous and was not sure if he would be that good. The team he played for was the Alameda pirates. A very strong team that had one goal and that was to win the championship game. David is a very small kid who only weighted 70 pounds when he first played. He was fast as can be and that really seemed to play in his favor. The first game David played i was very excited to see how  would he do. The whole game he didn't make a single mistake. As would be true for the most part in the season. At the end of his first football season he recorded two picks and a touchdown off of one.

David is now in his second season of football and now plays for the golden Jr. bears. Witch is a very good team. David did get a little more weight on him which can help when playing a sport like football. He also got some experience under his belt so now he has a better clue how the game works. So far in the three games he has played he has a interception than he ran for 20 yards.

I am extremely proud of my little brother in every thing he is doing and i just wish him the best in football and hope he gets that touchdown he is looking for this season. Go golden Jr. bears!

Respond to Swagga-style

This quote was written by Aleah.I think fashion is an expression of who you are, I;m not saying every white person who wants to, try and dress black I'm not saying that. But I think styles have to fit you inside and out. Just because you may feel like your black doesn't mean you are. I'm not being racist but still.

First off I would like to say that Aleah makes a very bold statement.This might be a very bold statement does not mean that it is true. i really seem to disagree with some of the things she brings up but Aleah does make some strong points in her blog.

What i don't seem to under stand from Aleah's blog is how do you dress black or white. What does she mean by black or white because if she means race that's not what that race is called. Race is not a color. Also people have the right to dress how ever they please so you have no right to say people who are white should not dress like black people because it does not look right. Style is not chose by race but is chose by society.

I do agree with some of the things she puts out on her blog such as when she says "fashion comes from who you are" That statement really is true because fashion is all about getting some one to look at you or draw other peoples attention for the better because the way you dress. Also there is the possibility that a guy or girl saw a famous person wearing a cool outfit so for them to be cool like that famous person they have to wear what that famous person wears. So there is always going to be the people who dress how they want because they like it and there are going to be people who dress like him/her in order to feel accept by their peers.

So what i basically am trying to say is drees the way you want to drees it does not matter if that race dress like that more just do what makes you as a person happy. If that means dressing like that famous actor then drees like him in order to feel accepted.
