Quick write-video games

The effect that video games have on people who play them can be both viewed in a positive way and a negative way.An example of this would be a ten year old boy who plays sport games such as NBA2k10 and Madden NFL.That ten year old boy is not likely to do something bad because that's not what the video game is doing. He is more likely to go to the park and shoot hoops or play catch with a football. No if you take that same ten year old boy and let him play a game like "grand theft auto" he is more likely to want to kill , hurt and steal things from people. that's what he saw in the game and it was OK then so why would it not be OK for him to do in the real world.

The way video games might have a effect on society also matters on ho you look at that video game. If people are playing sports games or cartoon games i can not really see harm in that. If people are playing video games like shot em up type then i see the word  harm written all over the cover. i feel that if you play such a harmful game for a over period of time it does something to your brain. It is almost like you are living in that harmful game. then that's when the video game stops being a video game and becomes your daily life.

The effect video games might have on someones culture is also depends on ho you look at it.there are some video games that really seem to have a big impact on ones culture. For example there are games that are made to kill Indians. the people that kill the Indians are cowboys. that to me seems highly offencive. But Indians has nothing to do with culture. yes but the Indian culture in these video games are being mocked and turned into a joke and its not OK.

so overall i do feel like video games has an effect on this world. but it truly all depends on ho you look at that game , who is playing that  game and why was that game made for. The most important part about playing video games is to play them not let them play you.
